Description

Gel pack tray packs are disposable cooling elements that keep your products cooled at 0 to 8 °C for up to several days. Other temperature ranges are also available. They have the shape of a sturdy container, which is sealed on all 4 sides at the top. Tray packs are made of strong PA-PE foil.

Difference between gel pack, pillow pack and tray pack

The main difference between a gel pack pillow pack and a gel pack tray pack is the shape and thickness of the foil. Where the tray pack has the shape of a tray with sealing seams at the top, the pillow pack has the shape of a bag with sealing seams at the top and bottom. The advantage of the tray pack is that it can achieve an equal, higher thickness of 40 m.

Variants of the gel pack tray pack are the sponge pack and foam pack (also known as foam brick) which are filled with a sponge or foam block – so that they retain their shape even when unfrozen.

Features of the gel pack tray pack

Recycle instructions after use

You can reuse the tray pack as long as it remains undamaged. The tray packs are made of strong PA-PE foil for which there is not yet a separate recycling stream. That is why it can be disposed of with residual waste at the end of its useful life. Consult the local knowledge institutes for any (new) recycling options.
