Transporting Dairy
More and more consumers are choosing to order dairy products such as yogurt, pudding, custard, ice cream bavaroise and cheese online. Dairy products are susceptible to spoilage due to temperature influences. So it is important to ship milk, cheese, yogurt and other dairy products (as well as plant-based alternatives) refrigerated. Our team is happy to think with you about a suitable packaging solution for your refrigerated or conditioned shipping challenge!
- Fresh and fresh from door to door
- Customized advice for every transport

Maintain dairy quality on the go with these solutions
Customers in this industry mainly choose cooling with gel packs when shipping dairy products. Combining these with an EPS box or EcoCoolBox keeps the shipment cooled for a long and stable time. We offer several pre-validated solutions that have proven successful when shipping food products below 5 °C, both in summer and winter conditions. These involve an EPS box combined with a number of specific gel packs. Is this solution relevant to you? We would be happy to tell you all about it!
Do you work with transports with a return procedure? Then you can also choose cooling elements and EPP insulation boxes. These are made of sturdy material and suitable for frequent reuse. Moreover, there are also many options for customized solutions.
Locally produced refrigeration solutions for dairy transportation
Coolpack produces gel packs on site in many types, shapes and sizes. But hard blue plastic cooling elements also roll out of our machines. You will also see them come by in different colors and shapes than you might be used to. We also call these form-fixed cooling elements because they do not change shape before freezing and after thawing – unlike gel packs.
Within our range of cooling elements, we distinguish between cooling blocks, cooling plates, foampacks and sponge packs. Each product has unique characteristics, so there is always a suitable alternative for your transport challenge. Do you want to ship dairy products frozen or chilled? How much space should the cooling elements take up? Do you want to reuse the cooling elements after use? What can the cooling solution cost? And would you like to personalize the cooling elements with your logo or other imprint?
A lot of choices and considerations, which we are happy to help you with. Both with standard and customized solutions.

Fortunately, there is a simple way to ship your products sustainably and refrigerated: the EcoCoolBox. How exactly does this work? And what are the advantages over other shipping methods? Original Gelpack 400g
For refrigerated transport of dairy products at 0 °C to 8 °C, we recommend using our non-toxic, food safe gel packs in combination with an insulating packaging box such as a Styrofoam EPS box. This keeps your products protected and prevents downtime due to cold chain interruptions.

Formable cooling element
Will the packages come back to you? Then choose a form-fixed cooling element or cooling plate at 0 °C to 8 °C. You can reuse these very often and are thus more sustainable in the long run. Use them in combination with a well-insulated, reusable EPP cooler: a milk carton fits exactly upright in this!
