This is how packaging specialist Intelsius uses PCM from Coolpack
DPG Intelsius provides a comprehensive and innovative range of temperature-controlled packaging solutions to customers in the pharmaceutical and life scienceindustries. Two months after Intelsius’ new German office opened, in November 2020, Renan started at Intelsius. Before that, he worked in international training and tourism, but the COVID situation did not make this work any easier. “I was ready for something new, and have always found healthcare an interesting field of work. That’s how I ended up here,” Renan says.
In a short time, Intelsius Germany has experienced tremendous growth. Currently, they have no less than two warehouses and an expanded office. That says enough about the developments within the cold chain transport market and the innovative solutions Intelsius offers for a variety of situations.
PCM in the Pharmatherm Pallet from Intelsius
“We have a large group of customers in pharmaceuticals and life sciences who transport high-value goods. A stable temperature is then of enormous importance. The PCM cooling elements from Coolpack that we use for our Pharmatherm Pallet CRT 15°C to 25°C, have a particularly accurate solidification point and high energy storage, compared to water-based formulations, for example. This ensures high temperature stability during shipment, and it makes the Pharmatherm Pallet efficient: in fact, compared to alternatives, you need relatively small cooling elements to achieve the same result in temperature assurance,” explains Renan.
This distinguishes the Phase Change Material products from Coolpack from other suppliers. The cooling elements therefore fit well with Intelsius Germany’s commitment to sustainable cold chain solutions. The Phase Change Material with solidification point at +20 degrees Celsius is mainly used by customers in pharmaceuticals and clinical test centers.
Intelsius and Coolpack: a rock-solid partnership
Renan came to Coolpack through the UK headquarters of Intelsius. Previously, products were delivered to Germany from the UK, but with the opening of the new facility in Germany, a direct cooperation between Intelsius and Coolpack was a logical step. “This is how we got in touch with Coolpack ourselves, and have direct contact about the products we purchase or would like to have developed. What I especially appreciate in the cooperation is that the communication is open and transparent. The team at Coolpack always does its utmost to provide us with a suitable solution at a good price. We can switch quickly and deliveries are also realized quickly,” says Renan.
