Meat transportation

Fresh meat travels a long way before it reaches the consumer’s plate. However, when transporting and storing meat, environmental conditions and practices are crucial to maintaining quality. And since eating spoiled meat can be very harmful to health, it is crucial to prevent this from happening. Coolpack has the expertise and solutions to ensure your meat products arrive fresh at their destination.

To inhibit bacterial growth and spoilage, it is important to transport and store meat under the right conditions. Often this is refrigerated, but also increasingly frozen. At Coolpack we offer off-the-shelf and customized packaging solutions that are used by large and small meat distributors, butchers, web shops and caterers to cool or freeze meat properly during transport. Custom advice

When refrigerating your fresh produce such as meat, the growth of microorganisms stops. Thus, spoilage is then paused, so to speak. Different microorganisms have different characteristics. Nevertheless, almost all microorganisms grow at a temperature between 10 and 40 degrees Celsius. Therefore, keeping meat refrigerated already slows decay significantly. Freezing completely stops the growth of microorganisms.

Whether you want to ship your meat products chilled or frozen, and whether you transport with or without return flow; Coolpack has the know-how and facilities to offer suitable tools and realize your chilled or frozen transport. Feel free to contact us for the possibilities: they are almost endless!
